RICS Home Survey Level 2
Previously known as the RICS Homebuyers Report, this survey is our most popular choice and is suitable for you if the property you are buying is of standard construction and appears to be in anything from good to poor condition. The report is comprehensive and informative giving you all of the information you can think of.

The RICS (Royal Institution of Charted Surveyors) level two Home Survey report will also give you an overview of the property’s condition and advise you on significant defects. A traffic light system of ratings is used.
This is a colour coded system devised by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, where Rating 1 is green and indicates no major defects, Rating 2 is amber indicating concerns and Rating 3 is red, indicating greater concerns. A full definition of these would appear in your level 2 Home Survey report to make understanding of defects straightforward.
However, to assist you a little further, the level two home survey report will also give you some further advice about how severe the defects are, plus information and advice regarding ongoing repairs and maintenance.
